Wow. This tutorial is inspiring.Being conversant with Photoshop over the years,I sort of lost out on Illustrator but this tutorial and others like it have inspired me to take a break from rasters to vectors. Great job,sire.Great job!

Unfortunatelly it’s not possible. But you could use opacity masks to achieve a similar result (although it will require more work time).
